Hello guys and gals of the costuming world!
UPDATE: 4/16/13
- I found someone to help me with the design. Very happy about this! So I took my sketch (see below) and brought it to Paint where I started playing with various color options. I have posted the FINAL FOUR below in the next post!
Please check them out, and vote for which one you think would look best IN REAL LIFE!
I REALLY NEED HELP FINISHING THE DESIGN. :unsure (See my sketch below)
I am planning to "upgrade/update" my costume. But I could use some help/advice/etc.
(That's where you come in)
BACKGROUND OF CHARACTER:
Aceon Novahawk (Pronounced: [Long] A-SEE-ON)
(some of this I am still working on the details)
Post-Return Of The Jedi
POSSIBLY trained by Luke Skywalker (or perhaps comes much later than Luke)
An Jedi archaeologist by trade. (That's how he finds Obi-Wan's old lightsaber)
He ends up finding discovering information about some corrupt officials in the current government (again, I haven't worked out any details; If anyone wants to help with that, I'd love to hear your ideas). What he learns he cannot take to the current Jedi Order because either it would cause some sort of catastrophic upheaval, or no one would believe it, or perhaps some of the corruption has spread and he doesn't know who to trust other than his immediate family, and knows it would just be covered up anyway. So, he takes it upon himself to do what needs to be done and assassinate those parties involved before their plans can be fulfilled. Thus he becomes a Jedi Assassin, working outside of the Order, with his immediate family being his only support to bring justice as quickly and quietly as possible behind the scenes.
(Again, I wouldn't mind some help on the background story too)
Here is my CURRENT Rebel Legion approved Jedi costume. (Archaeologist version)
From this, I plan to keep:
-Vambraces
-belt
-pants
-boots
-lightsaber
I am not an artist, so please don't judge my drawing "skill". lol
Here is the concept sketch I came up with. I really need someone to take it from here for me.
Add the details, help me figure out the color scheme, etc.
THEN I can get it into the actual "production stage."
But I cannot proceed to getting it actually made until I have a completed design I can give to the seamstress.
COLOR SCHEME:
White or off-white (or grey maybe?) With a very deep but dull almost grayish-blue. (I can post pictures of the blue I am referring to)
As you can see, I did borrow from Assassin's Creed Ezio, and Force Unleashed a bit in some design aspects. But I tried to keep it very JEDI and "STAR WARSY" at the same time.
ALSO.... I was mostly just seeing how blaster would look. I PROBABLY wont actually do a blaster. The right side would most likely just be another pouch like the left side. (I MAY do a blaster some time down the road...but "the jurry is still out" on that.)
OTHER DETAILS:
I am thinking about making a way to attach the lightsaber to the armor plate on the shoulder.
What would be the best way about making (or having made? or buying?) the buckles for the leg straps?
THANKS!
