James Bond, Skyfall display

Hey guys I made another display for my local Icon Cinema. last time it was Judge Dredd this time its Bond!

This whole display was hand built and pretty much every piece was built from scratch with eception of the gun(wich I still had to paint), and the watch wich I already had. I first started with the wooden box frame, then worked on the acrylic that I cut and created my own stencils for painting. I bought a lamp making kit and assembled the bulb socket. After the box was completed I started on the alluminum breifcase wich are terribly expensive! so I decided to buy a cheap gun cleaning kit that came in this alluminum case it had winchester painted all over it and there was no hinge system so there were some mods needed, I also took out the cleaning kit and replaced it with EVA foam that i cut the the PPK shape in to. Of course I needed the PPK in order to accomplish this so dispite my frantic searching I finally found a good quality spring loaded metal airsoft replica that was extremely cheap! A quick coat of paint on the barrel and it was pretty convincing:cool I through a couple of .45 cal shells in there just for effect. and finally I created the Mi6 ID badge and license to kill... BTW this was all built within two days!!!:wacko

There's A Trick To Searching For Guns On Ebay, So Don't Go Spreading This On Every Forum But It Involves Not Typing In The Exact Item Your Looking For. Example If You Type In Walther Pps / Ppk You People Know That It Is Gonna Be James Bond Gun So They Jack Up The Price Same With Ru Robocop Ect. If You Type In Generic AirSoft It Will Give You All The Good Cheap Guns From China For Really Good prices. You Got To Search Through A Lot Of Guns But Its Worth It.

And...the replica gun industry is a serious one these days, there are many metal replicas out there that are exact copies, and have working slides and triggers etc but are non-firing. Depends on what you're looking for of course. In jolives 'case' (ahem) all that was needed was a reasonable appearance and well done by the way.

Looks awesome. Pretty ballsy move putting a gun (even a fake one) on display in a movie theater. It's nice to see that not every business or person is afraid to do something cool.
