James Bond gadgets... What do you have and what would you love to own?

Wow, didn't know you could get that sort of thing printed out. What was the finish like, did it need much attention or was it pretty much good to go once printed?

I'm looking for one of the Factory entertainment signature edition pieces but they don't pop up very often. If anyone knows of anyone selling please shoot me a pm. Cheers

We actually 3D printed it with a brass composite material so it was heavier than standard 3D printed plastic which was nice. We finished it ourselves as well, and I like how shiny it is lol.

Been on a bit of a Bond kick lately with the passing of Sean Connery and my dad getting his FE Golden Gun. I make a search and what do I find? A necro from doppelganger , who also happens to be the guy responsible for some of my favourite Bond items. :)

So hoping to revive this one, there isn't near enough 007 love. Show me what you've got!

Sadly I don't have pics right now (boxed up during the holidays) but I *WILL* come back and post some when I can. Until then, this is what I (and my dad, who is a huge Bond fan and I've given him some props as gifts over the years) have:

Dad:

- Odd Job's hat - Goldfinger
- Walther LP53 - Never used in a film, but famous from publicity shots
- Golden Gun (Factory Entertainment)

Me:

- Rebreather - Thunderball (gift from doppelganger)
- Wrist gun and darts - Moonraker (gift from doppelganger)
- Jaws teeth - TSWLM & Moonraker (signed by Richard Kiel)
- Laser gun - Moonraker (My dad broke this one, I need to fix and repaint)
- Walther PPK (both a real one and a replica CO2 pistol)
- Walther P99 (CO2 pistol)
- Playing cards - Casino Royale
- A few playing cards and casino chips - Skyfall
- SPECTRE ring - FRWL
- SPECTRE ring - Spectre
- Watch with data screen - Goldeneye Video Game (from the pause menu)

As for what I collect, I mostly go for my favourite films from the franchise, which includes them all up to OHMSS, The Dalton films, Goldeneye, and the two good Craig movies (CR and Skyfall).

Props that I plan to make or find (more on the make side right now, funds are not abundant. Lol):

- Honey Rider's knife & belt - Dr. No
- Attache case - FRWL (This is my holy grail Bond prop)
- Stabbing shoe - FRWL
- Homing device - Goldfinger
- Gold bar - Goldfinger
- SPECTRE ring - Thunderball
- SPECTRE ring - YOLT (same as Thunderball? Not sure)
- Proximity mine - Goldeneye

BIG ones that I dream of one day doing are the jetpack from Thunderball (non-functioning of course) and a replica of the DB5. Doppelganger and I met in Reading last year and when he told me about converting the MGB into a DB5, frankly, I haven't stopped thinking about it since. It's a "one day maybe" kinda thing, cause it would obviously cost tens of thousands to do... But man... Can you imagine the absolute joy of driving that around town? A man can dream. :)

Not sure if/when I will ever make it, but I want to make Tee Hee's mechanical arm. Not my favorite movie but I really like the look of it. As of now, I've just got reference photos. Someday.

Most of what I have is from Factory Entertainment

I have an Omega Seamaster as seen in Quantum of Solace. I also have swatches from Craig’s Casino Royale Madagascar button up, shirt and pants. I cleared out a bunch years ago and kind of kick myself.

I need that Cylon helmet! No wait, a whole costume! :D
That one is solid golden brass and custom made and weighs about 50 pounds. While it’s a top shelf item in my collection, it resides on the bottom of the Detolf as the glass shelves could not support it. I think “Vulpa” in the corner of my den is more of what you are looking for lol.

I'm pretty simple with just a C02 Walther PPK and a pistol case which similarly matches the one from Skyfall in the art museum meeting with Q. I plan to someday remove the grips and sculpt and cast up a rubber grip addition for the gun to match the grip style(palm print) used on some of the screen used props(some were 3D printed but for the Blank-firing guns they had a cast grip piece that fit over. I've also been thinking of having a go at replicating the original Bulldog gun case maybe by vacuum-forming. It was discontinued years ago and I haven't come across a used one yet. And lastly, the second I can get into a machine shop, I'll machine the sos radio from Skyfall out of aluminum.

I absolutely hate the Smith & Season PPK with the stupid beaver tail grip on it. If you can't shoot without having the slide scraping your hand then maybe you need a different gun.

If there really were a james Bond today, no doubt he would be using a Sig P365, smaller than a PPK but it holds 13 rounds of 9mm Parabellum vrs 8 rounds of 380 auto

This Sig overall dimensions are a little smaller, but it looks bulkier... maybe even heavier. Interesting thought...

Possibly, but also, remember that Bond was forced to give up his unreliable Baretta 418 for the PPK in both the books and the Dr. No film. His attachment to the Baretta didn't make much logical sense but it's all about the feel and familiarity. So a modern Bond would, I think, use whatever he felt most comfortable with.

Certainly the Sig packs a bigger punch though.
