So, for my first ever prop, I've decided that a paper prop would be a good start. I've always loved the Jade Fox wanted poster in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Here are some screenshots:

Considering its simplicity, I find it quite beautiful. Since it is probably done on rice paper with ink and brush by a Chinese calligrapher, I figured the best way to approach this would be to start by recreating it in photoshop and then printing it out to scale...then with ink and brush, tracing the poster onto the rice paper. So, I've started piecing something together in photoshop. I had to take selections from two of the screenshots and try to rotate/skew them and stitch them together. It looks okay, but I'm having some trouble. I want to remove the wrinkled texture from the photoshop file and make the ink look darker. I can't seem to attach the PSD, so I will try to attach it in the next post in this thread. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
