Jack Sparrow Compass from my kit

Thanks a lot for the kit Zlurpo!
I've spent about 3 long evenings through 4:00AM each day building this kit and I enjoyed every moment! My kit doesn't look good as Zlurpo's, but I like the way it looks anyway as it seems age enough with all the black paint on the trim. The only thing I don't like is how the sun dial turned out with that 'gold' color. I purchased Acrylic gold color and it was too yellow, so I mixed it with a bit of black. I just didn't know how to give it the metallic look.
One little improvement I made to this compass, which I don't have picture of that step so I'm sorry in advanced, is that I wanted the dial to act as if it points to whatever I want. So I glued a needle underneath the dial and charged it with a strong magnet for a few minutes. Now when I move the magnet below the compass body, the dial moves accordingly! So basically I can wear a ring with a magnet attached to it and move it underneath the compass when showing it to people, pretending as if it acts to my will. They could never tell how the dial points to the thing I want most in this world!

This is going to suit just great with my costume! I can't wait for people to see me dressed like Jack Sparrow with this compass in my hand!
Thanks again for the kit and the instructions Zlurpo! And if anyone hesitates regarding this kit then let me tell you something: DON'T! Just go and buy it as long as Zlurpo offers them! I highly recommend this kit. It worth every penny. Or every piece of eight.
