I've started buying screen used props!

Well, I've started my trek down the road that is called "Screen Used".

:)

I bought a bank note ($100 bill) from Serenity a few weeks ago from Phil S. and last night, I bought these two goodies:

The pistol is from The Chronicles of Riddick and is a stunt version. The hero was around $3000 so I passed on that one.

The other piece is the top of Simon's cane from Serenity. If you've seen the film, he smacks the cane on the floor and the top shoots off and emits a pulse that knocks everyone out in the room. If you haven't seen the film, shame on you.

;)

That's also a stunt piece.

The hero prop had already sold but check out the comparison photos:

It looks like these are from the same mold. The hero (on the left) just has the circular "orbits" and has been cleaned up better than the hero. The paint seems to be alclad or the like. The auction said the hero was painted resin.

Hooray for me.

:p

You realize this is how it starts.
"Oh, I'll just get ONE screen-used prop...maybe two..."
:D

I think bye bye checking account is right.
With screen used items often its buy now or probably never. Not the same with replicas which one can always get in the future.

Congratulations.

You will start rationalizing all sorts of reasons why you just HAVE to have that piece. :D

And I have started down the road of being jealous of you.. ;)

These are both great pieces for a screen used collection.. Very nice.

Surprisingly enough, my wife didn't beat the you-know-what out of me for my purchases. She said they were cool and left the room.

:lol

Probably lifting your creditcard from your wallet while exiting the room to buy herself some designer clothes :lol

seriously cool props. Have a stunt riddick myself and i just love the canetop.

There are definately a few other pieces I have my eye on.

I'm sure to add to my screen used collection soon.

:p

You can always trick yourself into believing you are making a financial investment. That's how I rationalize my prop purchases lol
