I've got the fever...to make my first movie prop, Ghostbusters style!

Thanks to Dan AKA, I am starting my very first movie prop. The infamous Proton Pack!! Thanks for the encouragement Dan! Beeb made his from scratch like how many years ago, babe? 8? 10? Anyway, its been so long he doesn't have the latest GB connections. He did find a few pieces left-over from his pack and a fellow RPF-er (hahaha, that sounds funny) helped me out with a gun.

So...I am interested in the fiberglass or vacu-form shell of the pack, and to collect an ion arm, HGA, N Filter and a bumper. If anyone has any extras or wouldn't mind parting with a piece or two..."I'll be your best friend"...not really, but I would definitely appreciate it and/or if you could guide me in the right direction to locate the pieces I need.

I thought I might girl-it-up by putting in pink lights...maybe?maybe not?...any suggestions?

I started a thread in the costume section for my GB outfit, but I will be posting progress pix for both.

Good work, I cheaped out and got someone to make my first pack for me, but the costume is something I've been working on for months. I look forward to seeing your progress!

My personal preference if "screen accurate" all the way but I do enjoy seeing costumes with a little individuality about them. (Can you even get pink LEDs?)

Yep , could add a subtle but unique style to the powercell that doesn't detract from the pack overall...

Beeb sent me a bunch of stuff free years ago ha ha still have not built my pack. Ive really been itching to make a pack!! I might go with javamoney but not having a job is not helping the situation

Yeah I have to agree, swapping just the blue powercell lights for pink (possibly some lights on the gun as well) would be subtle enough and give it that 'girly' touch without going overboard or detracting from the pack too much...

At a glance it does look overwhelming but it's not that bad. When I did mine it was the opposite... I thought it wouldn't be difficult build to do it from scratch... How wrong can a guy be!?! :lol I still have all the reference pics I used for mine so I'll see if I can dig those up for you.

Went through the box of left over parts I had from my build and had a lot more than I thought! Mostly the little detail parts but hey, a few less things that you'll/we'll have to track down!
