Is the Rubies Deluxe Trooper costume out and about?

I never seen anything but pics from trade shows - was this ROTJ based costume ever released? Any new pics / pics of the final version?

It is definitely out and about. There are 2 members on the FISD that have it. One is trying to sell it and the other is trying to mod it.

Haha so true. The FX set looks much better in my opinion. And it's way cheaper...

I saw this in a shop and was surprised at not just how thick this armor was, but how incredibly thick the helmet was! That helmet must have weighed five pounds! And it was truly awful. My 5 year old son wasn't even impressed, and that really says something.

Again, Rubies does NOT let me down, it delivers EXACTLY the usual.

I think it's a lousy way to display the costume. It certainly doesn't flatter it any.

toliet paper takes up less space too... AND its cheaper! you could buy 1200 years worth of toliet paper for 6k... think of all the money you'll save :thumbsup

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt they would make it thicker, just to make it more "durable". I think people have this "idea" in their head about the screen used armor, that it actually is like armor, when it's really kinda thin vac formed plastic.

I've had to do some slight repairs to cracks in my armor over the years. It looks impressive when I wear it, but I joking call myself the tupperwear monster.

I think the novice person would be disappointed if it were made as thin as an actual suit, but then I wouldn't wear this if it were given to me.

I'm lucky enough to have a TE suit. This Rubies thing look like apcray!!! :confused

A guy on whitearmour.net has bought one and is going to mod it to 501st standard. He's put pictures up and people are making suggestions.

The helmet isn't savable, but the armour looks a reasonable candidate for ROTJ, plus it's very sturdy. I've got my fingers crossed for the guy.
