Ironman MK III Suit BUILD *WIP *(camera, Unibeam,Leg hinge, air system, smoke,+ more)

Re: Ironman MK III Suit BUILD *WIP *(camera, Unibeam,Leg hinge, air system, smoke,+ mor

I actually had my legs set up the same way as you, with hinges and it looked very similar.... I went to try it on and either I had to shave my leg down a half inch or so, or the hinges had to go... It was a great idea and it made me smile seeing that it is working for someone else. I had to use plan B. Good luck with the build! :)

Re: Ironman MK III Suit BUILD *WIP *(camera, Unibeam, Body work, paint option,Leg hin

attempted to place the camera in the chin and just could not do it.... So the new helmet is on ordered which will be 1000% better its going to have all the horns and whistles :). and have a new camera ordered just a all new set up really...

What was the problem ? I successfully installed one, bigger than yours in my previous helmet, maybe I can help ! Unfortunately the helmet in question exploded in pieces on the floor months ago, so I don't have it anymore, but I already replaced by a MK42 one, with the same setup. Not installed yet though, it's been sitting on my desk for a while. I understand you are using the same setup than me, with video glasses ?

Checked the entire thread twice now and couldn't find the link for the lens and camera.

Your updates make me jealous of your tech. Great work as always!

So here you can see the style difference and size now :)

Re: Ironman MK III Suit BUILD *WIP *(camera, Unibeam,Leg hinge, air system, smoke,+ mor

Ah yes, I get what you mean, the hole in the chin was not very pretty in my MK 4 helmet neither, but couldn't fit the camera in the top vent. Still can't, but fortunately the MK42 has a slit in the chin that hides the camera well enough. I'll open my thread later, but in the mean time I'm following yours closely, you're doing some awesome work here !

top vent should set this camera in just fine... thanks jump in any time :)

Wont work on the top vent in my helm, as the thickness of the roof of the helmet comes down past the vent. The vent area is pretty much solid as it is part of the roof of the helmet and there is no empty space behind it . It should work in the chin area fine, lots of room in there. Just drill out the chin bolt and set it in behind. Depending on the angle your helm sits on your head it may be hard to see though as you will probably be viewing the floor. I was thinking about installing the camera in the front of the neck piece just above the chest plate. Sure it is a bit of a lower view but as long as you can see where you are going :)

Hello Mockle, I absolutely admire your work.. And Thank you for sharing so much knowledge to us beginners.. may I ask, what is the white stuff you use? Looks different from body filler (maybe sheetrock) I'm guessing? But I may be wrong hehe! Really interested how you got those super clean everythings, thanks lots, have a great day and keep up your awesome build! Subscribed definitely!:thumbsup

Re: Ironman MK III Suit BUILD *WIP *(camera, Unibeam,Leg hinge, air system, smoke,+ mor

This build is sheer awesome!!! Just an idea about the camera... could you mount it in the eye? hear me out - if you set it back a little in the eye the surrounding lights from the eye would hide the fact that there is a camera lens there. You would only need a couple mm clear hole for the camera to view through. I'm not sure what effect the lights would have on the camera itself but it might solve the issue of having a hole somewhere in your helmet plus it's in a prime position to see from. Just a thought though :)
