Iron Man spy photo spotted on newspaper prop

I don't know if this has been pointed out by anyone but I haven't seen anyone else mention it anywhere... I've tried doing some searches but haven't found it so my apologies if I'm repeating this.

While watching one of the Iron Man commercials, I spotted one of the very first iesb Iron Man spy photos actually used on a newspaper prop that Tony Stark is reading. I was able to find the commercial online at Superherohype.com and I took a screengrab. You can see a comparison of the photos here although the screengrab from the commercial is very small. Very cool IMHO that they incorporated this actual spy photo into the movie.

wow, they had to be quick on that one since that was taken DURING shooting. Cool tidbit!

Cool.
Although it makes me think the photo was leaked as a "spy photo" when it was a real production image.
It would not be the first movie to make it's own leaks:rolleyes

Yeah, I remember seeing those pics as spy pics. It's interesting to see it in the actually movie footage. If it's not the same pic it sure looks like both were at lease taken in the same spot at the same time. Good eye!

It's definitely not a production-leaked spy pic although I can see how that wouldn't be an unreasonable assumption.

I emailed iesb.net about it and it's on their news today and they link back to the article where the spy photos were originally posted.

I think it is an awesome nod to the fans. If they wanted a "spy" type photo for their newspaper, what better than to use a "real" spy photo taken by fans? :p

I'm just jealous *I* wasn't the lucky s.o.b to take the photo and get something in the movie! :p ;)

I still don't buy it. I always did think it was a leaked picture anyway. Him standing there alone by a fence at such a perfect angle. Take that along with the fact that I don't think they would use a photo taken illegally in a production.
I believe it is all a set up, and I still think it was all staged. I guess we will know more when the film comes out, if we see that same shot as a scene in the movie. Until then I am sticking with the fake angle. I would love to be proven wrong, but I would put money down on the fact it was not a real "spy" photo.:)

Why isn't Stark reading The Daily Bugle? Only Peter parker could a photo like that. :)

Sincerely,
The Wolf

Cool to see that. I don't think the video was production leaked, it was pretty much a shaky camera recording from across the street of Iron Man trying to get up as quickly as possible from a towel on the concrete, he just happened to stand still every once in a while while receiving directions, which is what the vid caps are.
