Iron Man - sources and parts

Hi guys,

I'm sorry if this is one of 'those' threads,
but I'm looking into buying an Iron Man armor, preferably a kit,
so I can do some work on it myself...

I'm not quite there yet, to sculpt it all by myself, so any good (re)sources for an armor kit
or other Iron man costume related stuff, would be very helpful!

- Yes, I've searched... but came up with nada... strangely enough - maybe it's just me -

Oh, I did already contact Nightmare Armor, as I've heard the might have a kit available...?

TMP is the person I would suggest you talk to. There are a couple of suits floating around, but I can't speak for those, even though they are very nice.

TMP seems to be THE guy to go to about the suits. Go to "Community" then to "Member List" then find TMP under the letter T.

Hope that helps. You may have known how to do all that, if so please forgive my overexplination!

But FYI, TMP only sells full completed suits, not kits.

Hmm.. do you think someone should start a thread on the IM costumes (with pictures ofcourse:love ) thats available out there? I think the thread could really help alot of ppl trying to source out the complete, kit or even parts to the suit. May even stop innocent members:angel from buying a recast :angry.
For a complete suit, top of the class (at the moment :lol... we all know there's, Maybe, 2 new suits in the work.. lets wait and see how those turn out. Its always hard to be #1 :lol ) is TMP:love. Then there's NAS.. not sure if its available as a kit, but theres a recent thread on a NAS War Machine suit. And IF you're a Bay-er, then you might have seen a Mark3 kit from a seller (initials 'LT'),which suit I own. And as most recently... in progress.. form MR (which progress is looking mighty nice:love) and MLC.
In my view...3 of them.. need to consider your body size and height, how much your willing to spend even for a kit and lastly the final look to the suit.
I've gone through this road last year without any guidance (That was before I was introduced to TheRPF :love )... all i had was a limited budget and the bay... am I happy?....Yip..especially after the helmet upgrade (yeah!! you know who you are.. helmet ready yet?:love :lol).

Hey, all help is more than welcome... so post all you want... all you know.
I've been looking on the bay for quite some time, but no luck...
at least not on (more or less) accurate movie suits.

I'll try to get in touch with TMP (these suits are just amazing) and Halo_1 aswell.

I actually asked for RPF help, because I don't want to end up
with a recast in the first place. They might look good and whatnot,
but I don't want to give these recasters my money for something they 'stole' from someone else...

I'm willing to pay a fair price for a kit/suit... I know how expensive these can get...
I'm prepaired ;-)

Well, I've found and ordered a raw kit...

All I need now is a set of soft parts, like the neckseal and gloves.
Halo_1 has given me some great info on that, but more help
is always more than welcome

Received my kit the other day... nice and heavy pieces. Great stuff.
Here's the helmet... it's a NAS kit, btw.

As soon as I start working on trimming and sanding and all of that stuff,
I'll do a WIP thread or something.

Congratulations on obtaining a kit. Currently, I am using some airsoft gloves and a stormtrooper neckseal on my NAS suit.
