Iron Man Repulsor DIY build (not mine)

I was browsing hackaday.com and stumbled upon this.

With slight modification to the mounting on the arm, it can be tucked into the forearm armor of a pepakura based armor or possibly TMP's or other fiberglass or vac-formed armors. The electronics aren't bulky at all, most of the bulk comes from the frame/mounts.

It uses a cheap film camera flash, so it will be much more visible in the daytime than led repulsor builds. With the price of these crappy film cameras being very low, it looks like a workable solution for an impressive low-budget costume.

This takes a bit of electronics knowledge, but It seems simple enough to me.

I'll build one if I ever finish my armor.

Check it out, guys and girls!

yeah i had seen this a couple of months ago and plan on making them for Mark V suit. im going to be making my circuit board so that its a little bit more spread out so that it will blend in with the suit.

I think I might try to make this fit on my suit, kinda cool flash they got going on.

Saw that just yesterday, and thought, "Hey, wouldn't that be fantastic to build into the Iron Man/Monger armors I'm planning for a family group costume?" (hoping to be done for DragonCon 2011). Seems like a viable, and relatively-inexpensive, way to generate a "repulsor" blast.
