This is a project I've been workin on for a bit, and really wanted to show it off here! Bought a movie helmet blank from Weaselflinger, fantastic guy to deal with, great communication, fast shipping all around top notch! To add to that, this is one of THE nicest castings I've ever recieved, virtually flawless, there was barely any filling or touch up work needed other then the trimming, and the seam on the back plate, it was a joy to work with!
On with the build, here it is right outta the box

Then after t he first couple hours trimming and sanding and fixing the seam on the back plate

Then after a little more work, and adding the magnets to hold the back plate in place

For the red, I decided to go with a slightly more comic look, the bright vibrant red instead of the slightly more subdued of the movie version

And the finished helmet, gold face plate, hand painted black low light line work, padded interior, and blue mirrored lenses

You have no idea how tempted I am to make an functional version of your MK IV! That is hilarious!

Well done on finishing your helmet, thanks for sharing.

I hope you didn't mess-up the paint-job when you had to remove that tape off the helmet after the beer pic.

Where did you get your mirrored lenses? I have one coming and haven't found a source for those just yet....and shots of how you applied them on the inside? WF's Iron Man will be my first attempt at any of this. `

Thats beautiful, i love the more vibrant red, it shows the low black lines very well, its sooo tempting to get one of these, its a wonderful sculpt, yeah and the last two pics.....priceless :lol
