Re: Iron Man Costume Foam Build

Still waiting on mine. I paid Matthew $1,020 in April and after some updates and excuses, I've received nothing and now he won't reply to any emails or private messages. I hope he does the right thing and either refunds my money or ships the suit I paid for…

I was trying to replace some of the props that I lost when my house was destroyed by a tornado and he seemed like a nice guy and a talented artist. I hope he comes through.

Re: Iron Man Costume Foam Build

I don't know why this person ( Matthew Simmons / Nichole Scales / affordableHero ) decided to take my money and never send what I paid for. He/She recently posted the same item on ebay with the same photos he sent me of "my" suit, in progress.

I've had so many successful transactions on the RPF, both buying and selling and this is by far the worst experience. Please be careful if dealing with this person. Very sad.

Re: Iron Man Costume Foam Build

Your not alone in this scum bag screweing you. I bought a used iron man suit that he shipped in a cardboard box with two grocery type bags as protection. I mean really?! And it showed up broken, shocker. Like destroyed. Probably broke before he shipped it and used broke in shipping as a cover...but he filled a claim with ups...and now won't return ups calls or mine.

How much money did he take from you? I'm thinking of contacting his/her local police. He's in USA, and this is fraud. If it reaches a certain amount in dollars it could also be grand larceny, or felony fraud. And if it's multiple states there's this new federal law that would allow the government to step in(feds)

IANAL, but this appears to be wire / mail fraud, and it's a felony offense.

Re: Iron Man Costume Foam Build

I paid him $1,020 and got nothing but slow updates, supposed photos of "my" Iron Man suit and a LOT of excuses before he finally stopped contacting me, altogether. I too, would like to figure out how to have this person prosecuted for theft.

I'm sorry to hear that you were ripped off by this guy, too.
