Iron Man concept: the MK45. A community effort.

I think the first one is the Nightclub Armor. It was in the movie actually. There are so many cool designs. I'll be sure to get back to this when I have the time.

Lot of great stuff going on here. I read earlier about the idea for an inner face shield. Looking at some of the above concept art, namely the "up armor" war machine, I think this could work. The suit appears to be a larger version of the normal suits and could justify having a larger head. Basically more armor / thickness. Having the faceplate move in towards the face then slide upward into the helmet would just look awesome. Add a little vacuum escaping sound as it sank..

The more I think about it, I'm really liking the Jeremy Love concept art. While we are to assume Tony has some type of metal that allows the use of thin sheets with the strength to stop small arms, the concept art smashes that with the look of tank armor. Would have me turn tail a lot more than someone dressed in Hot Rod Red :)

Hey Guys, the MK45 will be in Avengers age of Ultron. He will start out in the Mk43 which is a red Mk42.
The Hulkbuster is Mk 44. Mk45 is based on this image, and the lego toys images below that confirm.

Sorry guys, my private life crept up on me and kicked me in the nuts. I am getting back into the saddle at the moment though. So I'll be around!

This is my first post ever on this site, but I just wanted to say that for the longest time I have dreamt of making a motorized mask/helmet that opened from the middle somehow and parts retract to the side. I really like the ideas you guys have here! Have you guys been able to find any other reference for helmets that open that way?

If I find some, I'll post them here!

Keep it up!
