Not sure, but I do know that Mathew Fox from Lost does the same thing on every set he's on. He got the idea from Jeff Bridges to make picture books to give to cast and crew as souvenirs. It is mentioned in one of the LOST DVDs. Mathew mentions what camera he uses. Perhaps it's the same one Jeff uses. Doubtful though since it's more of creative personal preference what tools to use.
