Iron Man 2 - Scarlett Johansson's Little Black Dress

Obviously this isn't for me, but a friend of mine is very interested in essentially "borrowing" ScarJo's entire wardrobe from the film, so I said I'd help her out starting with the little black dress she wears to the unveiling of Hammer's new tech. (Trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible for everyone) For those who still don't know which dress I'm talking about, it's the one she changes out of follow me now? :lol

Things I've been able to see:

-The dress has a front zipper

-Seems to have a slight sheen to it, with decent body...so possibly some sort of black suiting?

-It has a collar

-It's got a full back

I'm on a mission to find some reference images or even some behind-the-scenes info on it. Due to it being in mostly dark scenes, it's very hard to make out details on a umm "personal" copy. If I can get some better reference images I'm going to draft a pattern and go from there.

So, what have you guys got? Anything to help my friend and me out?

My friend really wants this dress (In addition to Black Widow's jumpsuity outfit as well) and so far, I'm coming up with little to no reference material for this dress, so I'd really appreciate any help you can give me.

Seriously though, there are some killer costumer crafters here you may look to. Try SithCamaro or Fangs right off of the top of my head.

Yeah, I think that one works a little better.

I guess unless anyone can find a good shot of the dress, I'll just start drafting a pattern based on what little I do know.

I think this one will have to wait for better screen grabs. I don't think there's any promo pictures of the dress either unfortunately.

Scarlett is gorgeous. I loved her so much in this movie. I'd love to see her out of the dress

Now, to be a little less useless... I'd imagine it's a designer dress of some sort. Maybe some fashionista on the board might recognize it? I know different designers have signature styles that makes it easy to spot their work.

I know that much of Gwyneth Paltrow's wardrobe was Dior. You can start there and maybe branch out to other designer companies. Of course, that would mean LOTS of money for a little black dress. Best route is to make it. That's what I did for Pepper's Monaco dress.

I'll do some digging and see if I can't come up with any good photos for you.

Good to see you finally posting around here, Cleric...and yes, it's for Jeska.

That first link is crazily close. The only things off are the color, the shape of the neckline, and the lack of a zipper, but damn! Very close. I'd say Black Halo is probably a good guess, but they probably had it customized, or custom-made by the company.

...and to think when I first saw you say it was a Halo dress my first thought was Master Chief, but it appears you're probably close to the truth.
