Iron Giant bolt

So I started on this project a while ago, then noticed there were a couple people working on this...so I waited to see how they would do it... but nothing has really happened.

So I modeled one up and printed it off, supports still need to be cleaned off.

I'm not sure the bolt is exactly the right size, its supposed to be big in Hogarth's hands and hes 9. Anyway I printed one off that's 20% bigger, maybe that will work better?

COOL. Would love to see this done. For what it's worth, my feeble input is that it could probably use to be even bigger. Perhaps by 35-40%. Just by sight, that's my take on it. Either way, it looks great.

Well I did take a screenshot from the movie to compare, keep in mind Hogarth is a 9 year old kid.

I threw together an Iron Giant Bolt in 123 Design and put it up on Thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1569466. I broke it into pieces to make it easier to print.

I'm not completely happy with the threads and will need to revisit in a couple of weeks when I have some time. I still need to remove supports from the threads, so I haven't posted any printed pics yet. Measurements are educated guesses, so any input on any measurements that are incorrect are greatly appreciated.
