Interest Inigo Montoya Sword

I got some shots from the EMP museum a couple weeks ago, but they're crappy cellphone shots. I may be heading back up there early January, if I do I'll take my good camera.

Ah, EMP, I guess that's what I meant. Lol. Anyway, I havent forgotten, just havent been home yet. I'll put up some crummy cell shots, hopefully they're helpful in some small way.

Just received some high res images of the stunt sword on display. I've already passed them on to our sculptor.

This is the only shot I have, I guess. Dunno if it helps, but figured I'd throw it in here. Higher Res version available at this link: http://bit.ly/1HDL7Gv

Looks like the factory doesn't want to proceed without a sample to work from. I've been looking around but no luck so far and I don't have the time nor resources to work up a master at the moment. I still want to do it... just need to figure out how to get/make a master.

I have to brag here Indy, I knew the actual maker of these swords. His name was Alan Meek - I met him when I was a student in England and have the original prototype for the Dread Pirate Roberts sword. It was not the final design but it was the mock up for it. I also have a number of the swords used in Kenneth Brannagh's Henry V and Mel Gibson's Hamlet. Alan Meek made them all.

Search is not going well... I tried to talk the factory into doing the Three Musketeer rapier first as it was a simpler design, but even that one is causing issues. They really don't want to go forward with a swept hilt sword without a sample in hand. :(

Thanks for the tease, Nick! ;)
