Is that a new plating finish, too? You mentioned looking at other ones, I can't tell if that's a change in lighting or if it is actually a different color.
 
I'm generally happy to defer to the experts on these things, but I'm glad for the change - I dig the further spread. Beautiful!
 
After re-watching The Princess Bride last night, we've decided to go with the more spread out quillon arms. Although several versions can be seen on film, this one seems the most prevalent to me. Here is the updated hilt:

Oh man!!!! I have fallen in love with that thing of beauty!!!!! Also I think that wider spread gives it a much more elligant look. Seriously, well done on that my friend!!!!!!
