Now that the new NECA V for Vendetta Daggers are out, I wanted to know what you all thought of them.

The NECA daggers (gosh they seem to have a lot of cool stuff coming out lately) I heard were cast from a hero prop but its in resin. Nice shadow box and plaque - but retailing for about $140.

Then I see these unlicensed pieces popping up on eBay called the Vigilante dagger. Actually, I have seem some Windlass pieces pop up too, but those are disappearing fast.

Which one is the way way to go? And where can we find the Windlass daggers?

Sorry if that seemed a little scatter brained - I'm just so gosh-derned confused. HAHA :lol

Hope you guys can shed some light.

i think it all depends on how accurate you want.

140$ for a resin knife seems a little steep, and from the promo shots it wasnt very accurate.

Yeah I dont think the resin NECA dagger is for me.

Apparently, the best out there is the Windlass but they've disappeared.

well, also think about what you are going to do with them.

if its for a costume... do you really wanna walk around with 6 daggers all nice and sharp?

if its for a display, do you have room for all 6 daggers to be shown off?

there are a few vigilante daggers around that are ok looking, but nothing super uber movie accurate. i guess the big thing is deciding between "movie accurate" and "able to display without stitches later".

i think it might be cool to have six daggers on display....one might not "cut it"... :confused

i cant recall right now, but i'm sure V had some kind of belt to hold them?...it might be cool to have that belt loaded up with all 6 daggers hanging on the wall or something like that

just a thought...but could get pricey

hydin - No, I really just want to display it. Only in my dreams could I have the opportunity of owning a costume as complex as the V costume. Some of these guys on here have blown me away with their costumes. So, 6 daggers would pretty much be impractical. (which is why I want something flashy.) LOL

darthwhitey- Yes, that makes a great idea for display. The details of the belt, at least in the research I've done on this board, are still being tossed around. At least you can start with a nice belt buckle that people seem to be CNC'ing with great success.
