Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place wasnt sure where to put this!

I'm putting my Indiana Jones display together - quickly filling up 2 detolf cases full of bits and pieces, but the costume needs displaying too and I cant find a good mannequin for it that I think suits the stance of indy very well.

I found this picture online (Cant remember where I got it or who's this is, so if its a problem, just let me know and I'll take it down):

This is exactly how Im looking to display my costume next to all my replicas from the movies and various artifacts and things I've collected from around the world. I think the display pictured above looks fantastic.
Does anyone have any idea where I could find a mannequin like this? or recomend a good mannequin for this display?

How does everybody else display their Indy outfits? I'd love to see some of yours

Cant help you on the mannequin, but if you get onee like that, you better damn well get one of Chewie's new Indy busts!

I'm not at all familiar with the different types of mannequins available, but it almost looks like the type in your picture was a full body piece, including the head, that someone has removed and replaced with a rod. (assuming it's not simply a custom build)

Surely someone can chime on on available sources on the web, but at the very least, Ebay has a huge variety at decent prices.

I'd love to see pics of your collection in the meantime though. :cool

Aaahh...That would be one of Doc's displays. He's the fine fellow making the Ark kits at the moment:) If you PM me your email ect I can help you out. I am in a similiar position:)

This is a helpful thread cause this is my current project. I have one of Howards new heads on the way. I'm ordering the hat (adventurebuilt) and shirt in the coming weeks, then slowly but surely the rest of the outfit. I need to display on a full size manq as well. I'm thinking of doing the PVC dummy. Those always seem to come out great and I can basically make him in any stance I want.

This is going to be FUN, FUN, FUN!

Agent5 has a great mannequin display, as does Cking. Maybe they will chime in.

You probably know of this already, but the best place for Indy stuff is www.indygear.com/cow - do a search there and you'll find many a worthy display. :)

Here is my Indy bust (unknown maker) with my Herbert Johnson hat. The pic is not the best and the paint job is much better than on this pic. I need to bash the hat to get the original look of Raiders. I've planed to buy a normal mannequin from ebay and cut off the head to replace it with this bust. Should be no problem.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll hopefully get some pics of my collection so far up soon.
So far this has been really helpful. I saw Agent5's display in an old thread over at COW and it's amazing, some of the positions he didnt decide to go with look great too. I love the one holding the idol.
Whatever mannequin I end up getting, I agree it really needs an indiana jones bust to go on it, I cant imagine any better way to display it!

Why, thank you, sir. Most kind of you. Chris King was actually my inspiration to put together a 1:1 Indy from way back when when I saw his partially finished Indy mannequin on Indyfan.com. I immediatley thought, "I need to do that". I lucked out and got my mannequin for $15 at a yard sale. A couple of the fingers are busted off so it works well to add the gloves. I decided to keep the face blacked out because I thought all the mannequins at the Star Wars : Magic of Myth exhibit looked very professional and displayed a real museum quality to them. It really features the costume, although I plan to get one of Howards new busts someday as well. It's Indytastic!

Keep us updated on your progress.
