Indiana Jones Display *Inexpensive*

I just want to show off my Indiana Jones display. I'm a little light on the props just yet. I still have to finish up my Jmtwo Grail Tablet. I had this idea and I'm surprised I haven't seen it yet. It came out better than I could have imagined. It is great in many ways. It is inexpensive, looks great, and it stores other junk that is cluttering up my home theater, like toys. I think I'll build a couple of smaller ones that will work as toy boxes just to clear up some more junk. This was fun to put together.

Thanks. This was such a fun project and it only took about 4 hours to put together. I did have to figure out all the overlaps before hand just so I didn't waste any wood.

I love it.

I've been DYING to make a very similar display myself (I've even been looking for box sources..perhaps building is my only option... :lol).

Again, very cool!

In my opinion, that is precisely how any Indy collection should be displayed.......nice job indeed!!!

Dave :)

Very nice indeed. Now if you could only supply some plans or blueprints with dimensions for the rest of us, that would be awesome!

I love it....very simple yet so effective!! Im in the middle of building up my Indy collection for a display Im planning. I still need to pick up a fedora and a golden idol.....got any pointers??:)

The Idol is a Bluefive Idol. It was was one of the first, so I had to modify the mouth myself with a little bondo. I'm pretty happy with it. I used the Krylon Premium 18K Gold Plate. I wanted the Gold Foil but I couldn't find it anywhere local. The hat is an Akubra Federation. They recently used a new block which looks much better than my hat. It is now a Federation IV I believe. I got it from Hatsdirect.com.

I'll try to make some instructions for what I did. It is very simple. I just hope I don't make it complicated when I explain it. I'll work on it.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Hey good idea. I can cover 2 movies with one prop. It will also be a good gag joke when people open the box. Might give my kids nightmares.:unsure

Sweet.

The box currently is holding a steering wheel for my PS2, Dance Dance Revoltion Box, and an EyeClops toy. I still have more room in there for a head.
