thanks man. i am slowly trying to put down all my concept ideas into a picture, but I am not totally sure how to work it all together. I am mainly struggling with the pants and boots.

Ok I am taking my 5 year son to Mega Con. I made a Ms Marvel for 9 yr old daughter a couple years ago.

I ask him what does he want to go as. He says:

Blue Beetle.

So I am going as Booster Gold.



How is your costume going?

I plan on using the UA shirt as well, though not compression. I am a skinny dude. I used compression when I went as Capt America (Super Soldier) and I look more like Steve Rogers before the transformation.

Thinking about wearing military style pants with the utility belt, UA shirt modified with gold forearms and blasters and star, the glasses and turning the hair a fabulous blond.

What armor panels are you referring to?

Mindbomb great work on your kids Blue Beetle very creative however, Beetles suit it's more like armor. Eva foam found at Lowe's, or home depot would have worked better usin' th' thinner foamies ta build up th' details. Take a look at some foam builds like Tribalgrind's Mk VIII a complete scratch build is a great example as well as Quovadis0920's Mk VIII. Cardboard King was th' First one I think ta build a Mk VIII though out of foam. There's a lot of good builds done out of foam might give ya some ideas for v2. Good luck an keep up th' good work.

Mindbomb, you can learn by lookin' at others builds an they can help you on yours. This community is here help each other build th' best props & costumes that we can. There is a lot of knowledge on this board that is shared freely amongst it's members. It's not about takin' credit for someone else's work it's about sharing ideas & helpin' those /w/ less skills.

So I am still in the design phase. I think it may be a while before i actually get everything the way I want it in the design and start to build it.

I am not looking at incorperation some of the chest armor from Mob Rule (can't find any refrences online right now) and some otehr new 52 armors as well.

and I want to modify one of these for the mask. (cut and cover with proper color fabric.
