Folks from the RPF, I seldom buy things online, but with the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, I was directed from the Club Obi-Wan to Indy Magnoli´s website.
There, I found the great illustrations of the guy´s work, but nothing, I mean NOTHING would prepare me for what I experienced.
I placed an order for a Mark VII Satchel and a Herbert Johnson Poet in the largest size available, knowing full well that it would take a while, for I´ve got a big noggin and all, so time was not the essence, rather that the hat was THE hat.
Some days later, the Mark VII arrives, and at first sight I was unimpressed. Such a small bag, and all, and considering I usually wore a similar bag, in a much larger size, I was wondering what I could cram in there, so most likely I would have to get a vest, or a coat or something like that, to stuff all the things I usually have on me. However, it was THE famous Mark VII, so I emptied my usual bag and started placing my stuff in the Mark VII.
! ! ! ! Everything fit, everything had its place as if the Mark VII was DESIGNED to fit my things, and once I was done, I even had LEFTOVER space!!! Only the larger books didn´t fit, but then again, I bought a Mark VII, not a bag of holding, but really, it was THE closest thing, AND the craftsmanship is second to NONE! Now my father and my sister want one too!
Now, today the Poet arrives....
I was NOT expecting this! On the top of the inner SATIN lining of the crown - Herbert Johnson - On the leather band that goes inside the hat, making it THE SINGLE MOST COMFORTABLE THING I EVER WORE ON MY HEAD - Adventurebilt Hat Co. ! ! ! ! MAN! I was NEVER expecting to be THIS blessed, this hat is just ASTOUNDING!
Really, The information about Indy Magnoli is, to ALL of you who wish to purchase anything from the man, he IS the man! Incredibly cordial in our e-mail exchanges, never had a single shred of problem with my being in another continent, VERY nice to deal with and a gentlemen amongst gentlemen in this era. I am very pleased to have bought from him, and I fully endorse his site and recommend him to the RPF.
All in all, Indy Magnoli goes above and beyond, and I fully plan to get more things from him from now on.
