Just saw this on the Scratch building group on FB.
Guessing you used a kit and broke it all up and created all the insides.
Or is everything scratched?
Cool idea of course.

the hull of the shipis is a modified and cut Zvezda/revell 1:2700 ISD and the rest is scratch build, kitbashing and a few 3d printed parts

Really cool model and workmanship:cool::cool:(y)(y) My only critique is that I find the girders a little too big for the scale of the crew of such a huge ship...my two cents, of course;)

hi which griders do you mean and what have the grider to do with a large crew. imo or for my mind it is anyway very hard to imagine a 1600 meter long ship and then to set everything in relation to the rest.

Well, if you can visualize the size of the human crew in that ship...some of the girders would be the size and thickness of the Empire State building. Some more "dainty" girders could add a more human scale to the whole model...;)

ok i get it. it was my first cross section attempt and finding the right materials/parts wasn't easy. But I agree with you, of course...in principle, a large portion of the interior fittings would have had to be done with photo-etched parts to do justice to the scale, but I had no desire to do that. But it's fun, and I'll definitely build other models in the cross-section style in the future. At 1:24 or 1:35, the material selection will be easier.
