Not the same pattern. I'm eagerly awaiting the movie on blu-ray to get a better look at it. It's definitely a larger grid, I'm just not sure the exact shape yet. Might need to go see the movie again.

Oh dont be too hard on yourself... I just hope Marvel make an interview with the prop master of Ironman3 showing everyone how the new RT looks like and some close-up on details, just like what they did on Ironman2 when they interview Russell Bobbitt (prop master)... :thumbsup

It's just a matter of getting the design right when I give it to my laser cutting guy. He's cutting all the other parts for me as well, so the additional cost isn't much if I order them at the same time. Ordering later though is slightly more.

And since my Falke compression shirt arrived yesterday, I can't resist not to take photos of my brother wearing it together with my arc reactor and headset... yeah complete set :thumbsup

And yeah, he's too slim... LOL:lol

Hi everyone,

I made an upgrade on my IM3 version arc reactor... now it can be convertible to IM2 version... making it 2-in-1... :thumbsup

Below photo is the screen caps of the IM2 movie version Arc reactor.

That will be our reference.


So from the above photo I made the following upgrades:
1) Electronic circuit now have center light
2) Ironman2 conversion disc
3) Now uses 3 conductor cable (no messy wires)

This is our Ironman3 version arc reactor

Upgraded version have 2 light settings... Push the switch once and this is the light setup (IM3 style)

Push the switch again and this is the light setup (with center light for IM2 style). All you need to do is insert the IM2 conversion disc

Just like this...

Now this is the IM2 conversion disc

IM3 version arc reactor + IM2 conversion disc = (below photo)

IM2 conversion disc installed on IM3 version arc reactor

I used 3-conductor cable (it would be messy if I used 3 separate wires for the power supply)

And here is how it looks with the lights ON

Hi everyone... I made another improvement on our arc reactor... added some more details and made it 4-in-1...

I chamfered all the edges of the casing cover and put 6 screw holes to look more like the movie arc reactor.

Also the triangle corners were changed...

And here is our 2-in-1 (IM2 and IM3 version arc reactor)

IM3 version arc reactor and the IM2 version 4 conversion disc

And NOW behold... our 4-in-1 arc reactor...

(added a new casing cover and 2 more conversion disc) Now you can have the following arc reactor version:
1) IM3 movie version arc reactor
2) IM version 4 (triangular)
3) IM version 3 (the one shown with poisoned veins on Tony's chest)
4) IM version 1 (cave version)

Here is how it works... Below photo is just to illustrate how it should be wear but in actual it should be wear under the shirt...

Sorry for the out-of-shape body...

And here are the 4 arc reactor conversion... The main intention is to have an accurate-looking arc reactor under the shirt (referring to the light effects)

I revised the design of my arc reactors and the focus of revision was on the battery pack.
The previous battery pack I used was no longer available so I changed it to battery pack that uses AA Batteries.

Now using AA Battery Pack...:thumbsup

I also made an UPGRADED BATTERY PACK using cellphone battery...

-Smaller battery pack
-Thinner yet powerful
-Rechargeable

Personally, I always thought it looked exactly like the Iron Man 2 Arc Reactor Prop from Museum Replicas (when not turned on)...
