Ignore List?

2 Questions:

1. Why do we have an 'Ignore List' feature anyway?

2. Is there a function that would allow me to see if I'm on anyone's Ignore List?

Just curious on both.

1. Why not have an ignore list? I just added a person or two to mine yesterday. Oftentimes, whatever those people say seriously bugs the living hell out of me, so I don't want to read their posts. It's great that I can filter their crap out.

2. It could probably be custom scripted in, but for what it would provide, the effort put into could be used better elsewhere.

I don't know anything about the Ignore List function.

If I'm on someone's Ignore List, does that mean when I post in a Thread, they don't see my post on their computer screen? I thought it was only for Pm's and stuff.

If I start a new topic, would it not be seen at all by someone if I was on their Ignore List?

I believe once someone replies in your thread, the person who ignored you can see the post, just not what you wrote.

It's across the board and not just PM's.

I just confirmed. When someone is on your ignore list it shows that there is a post by that user but doe snot show what it is and gives you the option to remove them from your ignore list. Same for PMs, you can see there is one from them, but not what it says.
