If you ever get a Parks Graflex ANH Conversion...Well, don't.

So there is only ONE source for new flashgun replicas in the whole world and because of Parks involvement, no new replica is "kosher"?

Looks like somebody else needs to step up, contact a new company (not in China?), and start up a new source for replicas. Either that, or "No saber for you!"

Finding a manufacturer is my problem. I am not trying China because of the complaints with the Parks replicas (beyond his personal issues). The problem is most US manufacturers want a fortune for a run and I don't think anyone would pay the price I would need for a flASHGUN and CLAMP.

hmmm i have an Obi Wan Lightsaber from parks....it all comes apart VERY VERY easily...i can slide the bubble strip right out...

You don't currently offer a completed replica flash gun though. See where I'm going with this?
I'll edit for clairity.

yes I understand, and it the reason why I will continue my quest to find a US company that I can use and be able to compete. In the mean time he has the market cornered.

It's a real shame you can't find a cost efective U.S. manufacturer.
Did you ever get in touch with russrep about making clamps for his ANH Obi run?

I wonder, to minimise cost, would anyone be interested in a "saber replica" instead of a flashgun replica. You know, non-functional, single tube body, simplified guts. It could be made in runs. Body first, then the clamp, then the ears, then the guts. The MR Luke ESB FX is the perfect example. Apart from being oversized, it's a simplified version of the Graflesx saber.

If both the LOOK and the price were right, it's something I might buy. Mmmmmaybe.

Just a thought.

If anyone has leads on a quick turn around (quicker than 10 weeks) on two complete high quality replica Greflex clamps (with the metal bumpers and release lever assembly) then I'd appreciate a referral. Thanks!

ok im confused...i ordered a graflex replica clamp from parks' site about 2 years ago and it came without a bubble strip. it was just the clamp.

I was going to buy another clamp from Parks for the Russ Obi run, but not if it's going to come with the bubble strip already in place. any suggestions or advice?
