Oh my god, thank you thank you thank you!!! This is on my to do list, learning how to mold lightsabers. I have a good candidate - a lathed V2 that my friend made and he gave me all blessings to cast the thing and such. ...this is do-able. I'd just stuff some clay in the gaps under the clamp card too....
