How to fix a bent Graflex clamp?

I have a real graf. clamp that I put on a Luke V2 blank. In the process of opening it wide to slip it over the blank, it bent, making a crease down the whole length on one side. When I tightened it down on the blank, the crease all but disappeared, and the saber is weathered to crap, but it still bugs me. Any way to get it back to perfect of should I try not to let it bug me?

Leave it alone. I picked up a clamp at a camera show that some fool had bent out the lips (place where you slide in the calc bubbles), and I figured I'd just bent them back with a pliers. BIG MISTAKE. They snapped off.

Don't risk it.

Personally, with my experience in Graflex, its not worth the trouble of trying to fix. I understand where you're coming from though, I hate imperfections.

If it's already weathered though, then you might as well say it's 'battle damaged' or something.

Yeah, I wanted a real clamp BECAUSE it would be a bit dinged up and have that character, you know? But since it was a screw up and not intentional/desired weathering, it bugs me. And seriously, it's almost invisible. You'd never even see it if I didn't point it out. But this is the kind of idiotic crap that keeps my up at night. I'm so anal-retentive...

Oh well, I guess I'll let it be. Feh.
