for cosplaying? for those of you who remember the 1990's fighting game "Killer Instinct", my favorite character from that game is "Fulgore", he is that fighting Cyborg, here are pics of him in case you don't remember, what materials, accessories, pieces should I use to go about making a costume of Fulgore? Suggestions i've been told were Wonderflex, Craft-Foam, Styrene, or Fiberglass and Bondo, Fiberglass Resin:

What materials would you recommend for the armor, body?

You could shape this out of foam matting . The helmet might be tuff but if you have some exp i'm sure you could pull it off with some practice. Good luck :) keep us all posted, we would like to see this!

has anyone heard of Sutra, Wonderflex? would those be good materials too? also what about Styrene? and i know what to do for the helmet, mask, since i'm very new to cosplaying, i know the helmet, mask would be the toughest part, but luckily there is such a Fulgore mask out there, it is very rare though, it's rubber, latex:

Use a 6mm foam and just do it free hand, Personally not a fan of that mask id look more into the new predators film, they have a mask thats pretty close to this. Use the pep files then just run with it see where it takes you !

Use a 6mm - 8 mm foam from what ive been told that's the easiest to build with. All i can say is take your time :) If its a build thats ot been done before theres not really a specific was thats best to achieve what you want, Just take your time plenty of reference pics, maybe a drawing? Then just have a go !

where to buy that type of foam? what stores carry it?

Re: How should I go about building, making, creating a Killer Instinct Fulgore costum

"wandys foam" on ebay has any sized foam you need and the prices are pretty reasonable. other than that, you just have to look around. i get my 6mm craft foam (great stuff!) at micheals hobby store. i get my 9mm foam from big lots (rolls of floor mats) and my 12mm from harbor freight. (4 pack of interlocking foam floor mats)

as for foam matting, what specific type of foam is it called again? Styrene, Sintra, PVC, EVA, Craft-Foam? and how big of sheets of foam should I buy?

Re: How should I go about building, making, creating a Killer Instinct Fulgore costum

well yesterday and today, i bought some long sheets of foam, the insulation type foam, well it came in pink, it's what they had at Home Depot but i'm obviously gonna paint it grey, lol, and some fiberglass resin, gray spray paint, and today i bought some long grey sheet of Vinyl, and a couple sheets of grey craft-foam

I just have to say, awesome choice for a build. If I were going to do this, I'd definitely use eva foam, and take my sweet time etching out those details/lines with my soldering iron. This could look really amazing. Good luck!

well I made a huge, significant step in initiating, starting construction, building the costume, well eventhough the member Virus says he's not a fan of the Fulgore Mask, i think it's really awesome, dope, and 4 days ago, I luckily became a proud owner of this very hardcore rare Mask, ordered it off a independent website and got it in great condition too, cost 120 bucks, and i even received a free copy of the Killer Cuts Music CD as well, because since i'm new to cosplaying, i figure making the Helmet, Mask, would be the most difficult task, part of making the Fulgore costume, since most cosplayers say, and I agree with them, that the Head is the hardest part, but once i become a more experienced cosplayer and do Fulgore again in the future i'll probably then make, build a Fulgore Helmet on my own, so i will focus on building, making the body, armor for Fulgore, and i bought some corrugated pipes yesterday at OSH, i figured i'd use them for the shoulder and elbow joints, but i'll later have to buy some bigger ones like at Home Depot or OSH for the leg joints and for my stomach, abdominal area, and waist too, since from looking at the pics of Fulgore, those areas of the body look like Corrugated Pipes would look good because they look just like it in those sections of Fulgores body, but anyway here are the pics of my Fulgore Mask I just received a few days ago:

like how should I sculpt, build the body armor for the torso and arms, legs?

Re: How should I go about building, making, creating a Killer Instinct Fulgore costum

I was just looking for some good aqua clear acrylic sheets for Fulgore's claws.
My brother wants to make this character.
I was going to make it the EVA foam Halo armor route.
Sculpted helmet.

where do they sell EVA foam? what retail stores carry them? and lately i've been trying to find plastic corrugated pipes, the ridged ones, so far i only found ones that can fit my arms, but now i've been trying to find ones that can fit on my legs and torso, stomach area, went to Home Depot and OSH but they didn't have those in those sizes
