How do you make clothes look wet?

The only problem I see with trying to stain fabric with any kind of clear oil such as vegetable oil is going to be that it will wash right out, and any oil that doesn't wash out will inherently leave a potential flammability hazard, and oils that aren't clear aren't going to look like the fabric is wet...just oily.

well, i`ve throwed one of my cloth, because oneday i`ve spilled over a glass of wet fiber resin on it, it really looks so oily, may be you can try this one

Going back to the original photo in the post ,to me it looks like the sleeves are totally wet due to rain/drizzle on top,and maybe sweat underneath. That is why the body of the shirt looks dry under the combat vest. It's more a tropical damp heat as opposed to big sweat stains from being in a dry desert.Just my observations..

Chapstick when melted on my shirts in the dryer leave a spot that looks wet. :) You think I would learn to check my pockets after the first 5 times.

Well, considering that clothes are flammable to begin with, I dont see a problem with that. :lol To my knowledge of washing clothes, most oil stains do not wash out. If you used dye instead, wouldn't it just look dyed instead of wet?
