How do you display badges, rank pins, patches etc?

I'm an example of what you probably shoulden't do. It works, just not the prettiest solution ever.
My Rebel Legion patches are on a big corkboard that is on the back of my bedroom door (along with some lapel pins that are meaningful, and some race numbers that aren't in the picture)
I also have a set of Apollo mission patches, that, ever since I got them in 5th grade, have been on the outside of my bedroom door frame
Once actually move out for real (not college-housing), I'll find something a little more classy, and not so high-school

Not exactly replica or prop patches, but this is how I display my patches. I just used a little green tacky for the back, though in retrospect it wasn't the best decision. It adheres more than usual to the plastic back coating on some of the patches, and when I try to peal the tacky off, it has caused some of the plastic on the back to tear a little.

Michael's stores in the US sell some nice cheap 2 packs of black plastic frames in multiple sizes for $4-12. I have a bunch of 11x14 frames which have all my NASA and Law Enforcement Patches in them. I'll try and post a picture of my patch walls later. My 501st patches (not enough walls in the house for all of them!) are in vinyl sleeves (large scale trading card pages) inside of 3" Binders. They just sit on the coffee table for people to flip through if they'd like. Then I have a few nice shadowboxes with patches from various movies mixed with screenshots and other props, like my Jaws Amity PD patch with a great shot of Brody, and my DK Gotham SWAT patch with a photo of Gordon and one of the great GPD badges I got here on the RPF. The rest of my patch collections have been sewn onto shirts and jackets and other various pieces of wardrobe...patches should be shown off!

My BSG pins (not counting the spares and older ones I have) are in shadow boxes. :
Can I ask where you got the BSG pins Jodo? They're absolutely stunning. Been looking for a few myself.

The top 3 higher ranks came from Allupo on ASAP, and then the rest of the pins, including the pilot wings came from MaraJadesFather at ASAP. All the enlisted pins also came from Allupo, aside from the one that matched the LT Jr pin. That pin was also made by MaraJadesFather as well.
And actualy, both the pilots wings, and then the Major and Capt. ranks have more deffined accurate versions available. I've considered buying the new versions, but I don't know if want to or not. I actualy have two pairs of the wings, one for costumes, and one for the display. I bought the second pin right before the new one came out, so I was sorta bummed I wasn't told about the new version about to come up for order. :wacko
I also have an old set of Senior wings, an old set of Captain ranks (mabey someday I'll have a girl that can use 'em. LOL), an extra set of LT Jr pins, the Jr. wings (for my *someday* duty blues), and then for my BSG Marine costume, I have a set of Sarg. pins. I also have a pair of Starbuck dog tags.

Those two shadowboxes are proboly my favorite displays, and my favorite props I own. The Warrant and LT Col ranks are coming up for order soon by Allupo as well, and they'll go into the shadowbox with the Enlisted Pins. Then I'll have 'em all.
(Well, besides the re-designed pins. :confused )
EDIT - Found the pic. of my spair pins with Col Tigh's flask and some patches that don't have frames. And then also the tags. :

Aha, I thought so! I just registered at ASAP a couple of days ago and have been checking those out, they're absolutely brilliant. They did a heck of a job.
The most senior ranks are all sold out unfortunately. Not sure how much they cost, even. (although there are a couple on Ebay at the minute by the looks of it).
I'm going to grab a senior wings pin an a couple of the rank pins (maybe major or captain) to go with the junior wings I won at the auction, and go down the same road as you with the shadowbox type display.

I was thinking of doing a shadow box for my patches, but I wasn't sure how to do the backs. I was thinking of putting some velcro on the backs, but I didn't want to mess up the patches. So thread like these are always helpful.
The shadow box I was thinking of doing for my magnetic combadges and rank pins will be a lot easier. I just have to put some metal in the back.
Most of it... I just need to get off my rump and do it.

I can't remember exactly how much the Col, Commander, and Admiral ranks cost when I bought them, if I remember right, it was like $35 for the Col, $40 for Commander, and $45 for Admiral. I've had them sence '07 Christmas time, and at that time, I bought the very last Col. set. Allupo has sence done another run, and I know he's looking for intrest in doing more of some of the pins. I think CPO if I remember right. All the other pins were $25 a set though.
The ones on Ebay are Allupo's BTW.
Also, just a word of wise, don't get on MJF's bad side, lol.
