[attachmentid=9320] I got this when I worked in L.A. in 1995.It was given away at the New York Licensing Show for the proposed live action film.While at Wonderfest this year,a conversation inspired me to start on building a model of "the Car"I will post updates of the process.Alexander

Awesome. Speed racer and Starblazers was the only reason I got up at 4am.

Watching this as a kid in California, I remeber it this way;

[attachmentid=9326][attachmentid=9327]I did some drawings to detirmine the size and scale,then transfer to a balsa block.Alexander

[attachmentid=9328][attachmentid=9329]These were used as the master for the wheels-axles.I made a mold of one and cast four to make two axle wheel combinations.

[attachmentid=9330][attachmentid=9331]The axles were glue together to get tthe wheelbase.The block was rough carved.

Now its time to add the wheels to the body.

[attachmentid=9561] After some thought I decided to go a different route.Instead of taking away I thought it might be easyer for me to sculpt by adding to the form.I made a plate which has the wheelbase and with of the axles and started to add sculpty to begin getting the general look of the car.
