This is a revolver from the manga/anime series in Japan Trinity Blood. I wanted to see if anyone knows if its closely based on something more specific than a plain cowboy revolver before attempting it from scratch.

Don't really know if it's a real firearm. It seems like an old west style revolver. Sorry I'm not really up on my 1800 firearms.

Looks like fantasy to me. You could probably get close with a Ruger super blackhawk replica, or tanaka peacekeeper, or a denix. The cartridges would never fit, they look like rifle cartridges, and you are going to play hell finding a 5 shot single action.

The front of the gun would have to be custom built.

The anime designers sure do love thier top break revolvers. :confused

Hmmm, the shape of the grip would make me think of a bisley style revolver like this...

Never seen a top break bisley tho...

Hmm.... This looks very close to the design of the Schofield Revolver. The Revolver you have there is a Break Two, meaning that the Ejection port in at the top of the Gun, Seemingly based off of the .45 Long Colt. It might be a customised version of this gun.

It is highly unlikly that this is based on one gun as it apears to have an ejector rod which is found on generic colt type pitols that are non top breaking as it would serve no function as top breaking pistols self eject via the star ejector in the middle.

As it has a squared trigger guard whch is a modern feature which resulted from the two hand type combat grip I think it is a mixture of a Ruger and a Webley type pistol.

Its a total fantasy gun. Look close at the back of the top latch. There is no place to lock it to the frame as it sits right on the top of the hammer.

yeah i couldnt figure that out, lol. I really dont know much of the technical aspects of guns, which is why i wanted to ask here, thanks :)

Youre assuming the Latch and Release is on the back of the Gun.
