So, being an avid airsofter who uses an MP5, I have come to realize that flap top mag pouches SUCK when trying to switch mags in the heat of BB death combat.
The more I think about it, the more Jayne's Bag o' mags from Serenity makes sense.
Can you be a little more specific? Do you know this to be a fact, or are you supposing?
I readily expect that it's not a 100% found item. Sernifly was notorious for modding stuff for prop usage. But I'd be willing to bet that at least part of it is a found item.
Looks to me like the bottom pouches and shoulder strap were probably original while the velcro closures and shoulder pad were added later. Just going by the different color of the OD green.
