HELP! I bought an SDS stunt helmet

Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

It's an older stunt helmet and has yellowing in some areas. I paid $495 (about $200 less than buying it new) for it and although I don't have plans to resell it anytime soon I hate to pay that much for something that although pretty might be worthless.

The yellowing is most visible on the back of the ears and some here and there around the mouth and hovimics. On closer inspection they are actually tiny yellow streaks.

The person who sold it to me offer a refund (minus shipping). He strikes me as an honest guy and I want to be reasonable as well.

What's your take on it?

Sell it and buy a Gino v2 much nicer helmet. Ainsworths helmets are way overpriced and his autograph in the helmet doesn't add value. There are other nice buckets on the market. Talk to Keith or Gino about nice buckets but the sds is very expensive for what it is and if it is yellowing and not in perfect condition then it's value has already halved.

Jmo.

That's what I thought. I always wanted a Gino but: A) I don't know how much he charges and I don't want to inquire until I'm ready to buy it and B) I think he doesn't take PayPal.

Thanks for your input.

If the yellowing is in the plastic Novus won't work. Gino's verse SDS is a better deal. Keith has a great ROTJ helmet tied to original lineage

If the seller is offering a refund then get a refund and grab a gino helmet. Great helmets imo.
