HELP: Can someone Identify this mystery Iron Man prop?!

OK Iron Man fans. I have found something I want to build but honestly I do not know what it is... Based on still pictures I have found of it, it would seem to appear in the Afghanistan Jericho Missile scene, but I dont think it actually appeared in the film.
What is this and does it actually appear? Deleted scene?

Looks to be a Stark Industries prototype blaster... Found this in my April 18th 2010 Iron Man Props and Costumes Auction book by Propworx
