Help: arc reactor casual wear - strapping issues

Hello there,

I wonder if anyone might be able to help. I have a very nice arc reactor that I bought online, but I want to modify it so I can wear it strapped to my chest under a t-shirt for a very subtle cosplay.

The one I bought was originally intended to be kept in a glass container, similar to the "Proof that Tony Stark has a heart" style container from the first movie.

I'll post more photographs a little later today...but for now, I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I need to make some strapping so it can be worn under a t-shirt...has anyone else had any experience of this? What kind of material have you used...and have you found any problems with going around the chest and over the shoulder..? How did you secure the strap to the arc reactor itself..? That kind of thing.

Nice work. And thanks for posting those. It looks like your arc reactor has "loops" of sorts.

I've bought a 4xAAA enclosed battery hold that I'm going to swap out with the existing one...that way, with an extended length of wire I can reduce the depth and have the battery compartment in my pocket.

But I still have an issue of somehow finding a way to secure the - quite fragile - arc reactor to a...strap. I was thinking of some wide elastic...and making an improvised sports bra of sorts!

It's still all about how I fix the reactor to the strap though.

I'm based in London...and there's a model shop in town, so I'm thinking about going and asking those guys.

I have three weeks to complete this! Eek.

well, mine has a plastic piece which i screw it together with my rt... after i tried that for whole night out, not so comfortable... im thinking of doing some kind of loop, like a belt buckle...its and idea .. good luck with yours.
