HDPE RS ESB Repaint

I’ve acquired now a 3rd HDPE RS helmet, I have a Sandtrooper and now 2 ANH stormtroopers, one of which is from an older run, which I have decided to give the full ESB treatment to it. I’ve trimmed out the eyes a little more, and removed any loose flaking paint, and I plan to just spray my white straight over that- which I guess is how it would’ve been done.

Any advice that can be offered - I start spraying soon!! Thanks

Here’s a few before pics, plus a few with the ears removed as I decided to trim them a little too as they were biting the helmet in a few places and gently mis shaping it.

Progress, in the end I took it apart and trimmed quite a bit off the back around the right under ear, it look as if it was originally trimmed with a lot of the excess left on, so much so that I believe you can see the line of the original cast not even covered by the ear shown in the pic circled in red.

After re trimming and construction again I’m so much happier with the look and shape than I was previously. Given in a nice glossy, heavy, slightly drippy coat and started painting in the details.
