HCG Pump action using gravity fix

I found that when hunting high for bugs the shot gun pump handle would fall down the gun. found out how to cure this.

1: remove the 2 fixing screws that hold pump handle in place.
2: slide pump all way back.
3: cut a small peice of sticky velcro soft part. I used white as thats all i had.
4: slide pump back and forth to see if the velcro can be seen.
5: slide pump back to the place to refit screws. tighten with care.

Good idea. If you stuck the Velcro to the inside of the handle instead though it would never be seen. Could be hard to get it there though I assume.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it and actually found tightening mine up to be even simpler. For those who haven't tried it yet, when you remove the screws, the pump can be easily removed from the prop; just pop it off the bottom. Then you can get to the felt liner, and in the case of the only slightly loose pump on one of my PRs, just roughing up the felt a bit was enough to make the action much tighter when reassembled. No additional velcro required! Of course this might not work if you have one that's very loose to begin with.

Oh, one more thing - Those two screws on mine were very tight; they must have used thread locker or something. Be sure to use the exact correct allen wrench size when removing them. Strip the soft metal hex screw head and you're SOL.

That's a great quick fix. Thanks.

Now, if something could just be done about the flap on the bottom of the PL where you are supposed to load the grenades, I would be completely happy with mine. They should have put a spring on it and I would love to try and do it, but I'm not sure I want to take it that far apart to try and do that.
