If anyone would like to talk about modding this lightsaber here you go.
I am working on one and I have another one untouched for backup. I worked on many of the details but this thing has a lot of them.
I ordered some paint, but not all of it has arrived yet. Still have to paint the green/blue part. I want to mix a special color for that part.
I have removed the telescope blade. It wasn't easy because you can't take the thing apart without breaking it. Once you remove the telescope blade (sawing, cutting and ripping it out) and paint the bright orange parts it already looks a lot better. The LED is actually quite strong for a toy but it sits deep down in the black part. with some tricks I can put a stunt blade inside - you'll need an extra long one because so much length and light is wasted in the hilt. I fashioned another tube out of cardboard and aluminium tape to harvest more of the light and to make my saber forge blade fit better and I put it inside the plastic tube. you can also put a blade plug inside, it looks pretty good that way. The LED is nowhere near as bright as my ultra saber, but it has a very pretty blue color with nice flickering - it looks good in the dark.
If I'm really satisfied with the paint job I might take it to the next level and actually saw the plastic tube out and replace it with a metal one and add new LED in the process.
Has anyone done this already and wanna give me some tips?
