Has anyone made a "Hand of Glory"?

I have a spare hand sitting around (yes, I have several fake hands that somehow wound up being owned by me).

I am giving some serious thought to converting one to a "Hand of Glory" as soon in several old horror stories, tv shows, movies, etc.

It seems pretty simple, take hand and pour wax over it until it builds up into a hand candle, but I have learned over the years that the fun and interesting and "simple to do" things tend to be nightmares to actually make.

I was wondering if anyone had taken a shot at it and made one in the past for a display.

Any tips are appreciated.

Please tell me the "fist" from Borat is NOT in your collection.

Haven't seen Borat yet, so I am guessing no, its not the same one.

I can only imagine that is one of those "fun" hands they used on mythbusters for the shark punching episode :lol

I have seen the HOG used in a lot of things, but I haven't had a chance to catch the first wicker man movie. I have been meaning to but it's pretty hard to find nowadays. I refuse to see the remake.

I will try to find the hand I was going to use for the base and pop a pic up later tonight.

Anchor Bay just released the DVD as a two disc not long ago. Try your local Borders.
