Harry Potter Filming Location map

Hi all,

With the new Harry Potter premiere just around the corner, I thought it might be a nice idea to plot some of the filming locations for anyone visiting London to help make the most of their visit.

I've also included other popular HP related locations such as Lacock and Oxford, plus some of the more further afield locations (in terms of normal HP tours) such as Durham Cathedral, and the bridge up near Loch Spiel.
I've not included locations such as Black Park, Tintel, Swinley forest, or Blenheim Palace as without any kind of noticable landmark its much harder to make the connection (except for die hard fans lol)

Anyway, here's a link. Feel free to share it around and I hope you like it - enjoy!

What was filmed at Blenheim Palace? I was there a while back.

They filmed a flashback scene where young James taunts Snape nearby the lake. I couldn't match the spot at all when I was there in February and its not marked.

I used to live in Oxford so my parents used to take me to Blenheim when I was a kid... to the extent I was eventually sick of the place... as a result, I know it really well.

In fact, I once saw a picture of a friend of mine on facebook .. it was just of them sat in front of a few trees (to other landmarks)

..... I went "that's at Blenheim isn't it"...

yep, I know it so well I happened to recognise the tree they were sat under! :lol

The scene where they filmed snape's flashback sequence is just over the stone bridge. Head away from the palace, toward the monument, cross the stone bridge, and then look down the slope on your left towards the lake. Look for a tree with a huge hole in it - that's the spot
