this is the first time I've ever tried to paint eyes. no templates, no molds, I just pulled the whole piece in resin, and painted all of it using cheap water colors, from hobby lobby. I didn't paint, and insert the eye, just painted it right out. and you know for a first time, it doesn't look half bad. I think that resin could be painted with water colors to look pretty damn good, and that would cut the cost of silicone, and med. grade eyes.
