Limited Run Han Solo ROTJ Blaster Active Project

SCOPE BRACKET RE-Discussion

Since you have the option to have a flush of offset rail, I don't think there is anything really left to discuss on the scope bracket

But if you have nay comments please post them.

For me the more accurate, the better, the choice :thumbsup
  • Bracket - GTGAI
  • Rail - Off Set (accurate)
  • Beveled Washers - Reduced Size (accurate)
  • Spacer Washers - GTGAI
  • Scope Ring

By the way: I am still accepting members to the project.

If you're interested send an email with all of the info requested in the first post.

Thanks

Is the part circled in red a hole for the rivet you mentioned? If it is a hole, is it a lot of trouble to omit it for those that prefer to use another method to attach the body and cap? Since most of the options being given are to create an idealized version of the blaster, a clean cap option would be something I would choose for my scope.

I ordered an offset bracket but am having second thoughts. How does one mount the scope rings? Obviously there will be some work needed to make them fit, but what is the process? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Second that

It is very clear that the back and front ot the scope were riveted together on the original prop so I don't know why you would want to omit this detail.

The inside foot has to be sanded down until they fit, you have to remove about .025" of an inch.

I have provided this service in the past if you do not have a way to do it

I might have a bad memory, but I have built up a couple of kits that looked pretty good to me without it. I'm ok if its not doable; I was just curious. Thanks for the info.

Here are some images that clearly show the rivet, the bottom image is a ROTJ E-11 but it has a cast of the Han ROTJ Scope and the rivet is clearly visible on top of it

Is this something that be performed with a dremel tool or is this more like machine shop work?

I don't think you could get it flat if you used a Dremel.

I made a jig and ran them through my table saw the last time.

This might be a little off track, but do all of the ROTJ han blasters have the safety levers removed, or just the bunker one?
