Han In Carbonite (H.I.C.) Right Hip/Thigh detail

I’ve been looking all over for some information or insight on this detail. If there is an old thread discussing it please post a link in the comments.

It appears on screen so it’s not storage damage. The only thing I can think of is it’s suppose to be his pant stripes but even that doesn’t seem to match up.

Anyone know something about this?

Could it be storage or transit damage between it being built and filmed?

Could be but seems like a strange pattern inside. It doesn’t look like fiberglass or anything and does appear more deliberate. Would seem a pretty easy repair before filming also. IDK.

I’m hoping maybe someone has seen it in person at some point that could add some info or thought on it.

First two pics are from the movies.

The next 3 are pics I found online of the one that was at a few of the Star Wars exhibits.

The last two are separate ones I found that look to be illusive concepts… but they’re unlike any other IC HICs I’ve seen online bc they appear to have the hip scar. One I found here on this site. The carbonite box certainly looks like an IC… but whats weird is the detail around the wrist and body where the carbonite meets his skin/clothing is not accurate to the original prop nor does it look like any other IC HIC I’ve seen previously.

There’s another IC HIC I found with damage to his face and hands on lifesizepropshop that looks to have the hip scar as well but It’s hard to tell.
