From the notebook that came with Reach. This pic is what i'm basing my design on.
You can see how different they look in some of the games and i'm not sure why.
Here's what I have so far:
I got 2 pieces of the same pipe at lowe's for like 7.00 and cut the thinner part off one (their selection is crap) and with just a tiny bit of dremeling they slid together.
It's too small for my hand and fat arm but it should fit my friend. I have to keep dremeling out the threads and sound the outside. Then just put in a piece of something as the flat crossbar the generator part is hooked to.
Here is the generator dome and the other part it hooks to. I made them from pure fiberglass resin in some molds i had laying around that looked right. I'd love to do the large shield like in the game but i don't have anything to make it out of. It would have to be vac formed.
So far this isn't that bad a build and with luck it will keep going smoothly.
