Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if anyone has an ideas for what should the Black Mesa Security Guard Uniform should look like. I've taken the liberty of posting a picture thats from the updated version, the remake of Half Life called Black Mesa Source. Its really good reference I must say, and I was planing getting the similar clothing as seen in the picture. I thought to myself I would like to dress up as Black Mesa Security Guard for Halloween this year. The only items I have are combat boots and an air-soft helmet, which I think is a really good start.

I'm all ears, to everyones thoughts

From the looks of the in game hard model you posted a pic of I would say the following

A pair of military style tactical pants in navy blue

A black drop down leg holster

These two items can be easily found online at any airsoft website and other sites as well

A black tie

A blue work shirt

As for the vest I think most airsoft stores have similar items but I also have seen hollowed costume stores carry swat costumes that have a decent looking riot vest also

Hope this helps some

Sorry for the double post doing this from my iPhone right makes editing a pain

And if you need a weapon I know in the original release the guards were armed with glocks and in the add on called blue shift they were armed with the beretta 92 style pistol

Thanks for your help, Oh by the way I look up what kind of pistol they used in the game its a Glock 17, and I also funny really good match of the hoslter seen on in the picture, I had saw it on amazon for $15. But maybe I can find it some place cheper than 15 bucks.

I also notice would also work really well is Midnight Blue Uniform pants, they look really cose in the picture too, I saw some at the rothco website, but I would fine them at a local Army&Navy Surplus Store.

I think your on the right tracks, in my opinion the only thing that image is missing it a riot helmet and mabey some sun glasses, like aviators just for added badass'ness.

Also you could try some black "sap" gloves they wouldnt look to shabby with an outfit such as that.

And some sort of ear piece or headset to communicate with his fellow guards.

You could try a more tatical looking vest, one with pockets and pouches mabey, with the black mesa logo printed or iron or painted to it.

And finally you could try making some prop non-leathal weaponry. Such as tear gas, pepper spray, tazer, batton (similar to the combine)

I look forward to you progress would love to see the costume when its finished :)

Sure. If you're looking for custom patches, I suggest QualityEmbroideredPatches.com

They did my Pyro patches from Team Fortress 2! Was $34 for the pair which also covered the shipping. Took about two weeks, not even.

ah thats, kool from what I saw the quote, which I got today its abit pricey for me, or I'll go around to local shops that make there own patches. Or maybe I could try painting it or making some decals if I want.
